Vans Launches Customization Program to Support Canadian Small Businesses

As many small businesses have had to close their doors temporarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no shortage of concern from business owners as to what the future looks like once we’re on the other side. To help provide a little hope and security at this time, Vans has just announced the launch of a new initiative called Foot The Bill.

Partnering with local brands across the country, Vans has designed custom shoes with each business which are now available for purchase. All net proceeds from the sales will go directly to these businesses.

The businesses included in the initiative are Blue Tile Lounge from Toronto, Off The Hook from Montreal, Anti Social from Vancouver, Ninetimes from Calgary and Saskatoon and Halifax’s Pro Skates. On the website, the brand writes, “We know how important small businesses are: We were one. You helped us become what we are, and we want to help our community and extended members of our Vans family during this difficult time.”

There are just 500 of each custom shoe design available for purchase, and are available on a limited edition basis – so once they’re gone, you won’t be able to get your hands on a pair.

The Foot The Bill designs vary from basic monochromes to sketch-adorned styles and multi-colour options, meaning there’s something on offer for literally every Canadian.
