Star Wars Disney+ series coming from 'Russian Doll' co-creator Leslye Headland

Per a report from Variety, a new female-centric Star Wars series is headed to Disney+ with Emmy-nominated Russian Doll showrunner and co-creator Leslye Headland at the helm. 

Headland will become the second woman to lead a major Star Wars TV project after Deborah Chow, who was tapped to direct the streaming service’s untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi series last fall.

Representatives for Disney did not immediately respond to Mashable’s request for comment. Headland herself has yet to confirm the news, but FWIW, she currently identifies as a “chaotic-neutral jedi-sith” in her Twitter bio. So, we know she’s a fan. Read more…
