If you’ve yet to watch the video of CNN’s Anderson Cooper announcing that he’s become a dad, then we suggest you go and do it posthaste (the whole thing is pretty darn adorable, and exactly the kind of feel-good content everyone needs at the moment).
“I watched it and I was deeply moved by it, I thought it was very beautiful,” says Colbert in the Late Late Show interview above, before asking Cooper how he feels now, one week in.
“It’s extraordinary. It’s astonishing. I just stare at him, and hold him, and I just can’t believe that he’s going to depend on me, and that he’s here — it’s just astonishing,” Cooper says back. “I mean I’ve always dreamed about it, but I never thought I’d be able to do it.
