The first -ready are apparently coming in October and we have been hearing about their ability to support a high refresh rate.
Back in June, leaker reported that the first gives you a “Limit Frame Rate” option. The option lets you set the maximum frame rate of the screen to 60 frames per second. Now, the iPhone 11 comes with a 60Hz screen, so it doesn’t make sense to offer this option unless Apple is planning to increase the refresh rate.
Don’t expect iPhone 12’s 120Hz screen to be as good as Galaxy Note 20 Ultra’s
