PlayStation 5 is out on Nov. 12, for $499

You wanted a price and release date for Sony’s next-generation gaming console? Here it is.

The PlayStation 5 will be out on Nov. 12 in the U.S., Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea for $499 (in the U.S. at least), with a wider launch to follow on Nov. 19. A cheaper, disc drive-free Digital Edition also arrives at the same time, for $399.

Sony brought the equivalent of an E3 press conference to its mid-September stream, revealing not just the long-awaited PS5 details but also new info on previously announced upcoming games and also some big surprises, including the long-rumored, Wizarding World-connected Hogwarts Legacy. Read more…
