Samsung, Huawei and Apple ship the most phones in Q2 of 2020

As expected, the second quarter of 2020 has been less profitable for smartphone makers than the same time of 2019, with the global pandemic and all. Overall Q2 of 2020 saw 20.4% fewer phones shipped at 294.7 million compared to Q2 of 2019’s 370.3 million.

There haven’t been drastic changes at the top – Samsung and Huawei got 20% share of the pie each with Apple sitting in third with 13.5% market share. Digging into the numbers reveals a bit more, however. Samsung shipped 54.7 million phones, down from 75.1 million in Q2 of 2019 and down from the 60 million in Q1 of 2020. Huawei shipped…
