PREORDER: As of Feb. 8, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is up for preorder with a May 14 release date — get a copy from Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Steam, the Playstation Store, or the Microsoft Store for $59.99.


The next game in BioWare’s beloved Mass Effect series may still be a long way away — it was in “early production” as of December — but its original trilogy will soon be back and better than ever before.

Set for a May 14 release date, Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will see the first three games from 2007, 2010, and 2012 remastered in 4K UHD for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. (A BioWare blog post says the console versions will have “forward compatibility and targeted enhancements” for the new Xbox Series X and PS5, in case you get lucky enough to find one in stock.)
