Cob is a natural building material that can one day replace cement in construction

Even in today’s concrete world, about a third of the global population lives in buildings made from earth. The question for the future is how to make this ancient technique scalable, energy efficient, and easily replicable. 

The CobBauge project, which is testing out cob (a mix between earth, fiber and water) as the main building material, is a proof of concept for a much more sustainable construction method.   Read more…
