Apple reports a strong 50% gain in fiscal third quarter iPhone revenue

Apple reported a strong fiscal third quarter with iPhone revenue up nearly 50%. Sales of Apple’s iPad tablets rose 11% on an annual basis as the business was affected by the global chip shortage.
