In a short video, AMD talked about its Zen architecture five years later and what to expect from its future products. In the video, the company’s Director of Technical Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer also shed some light on next year’s Ryzen chips.
The most interesting bit about the video is that they confirmed the shift to the AM5 platform, which will enable support for PCIe Gen 5 hardware and DDR5 memory. Of course, the AM5 will be a new socket design so the upcoming Ryzen chips won’t play well with the current motherboards.
