Covid scare at popular Macca’s

Anyone who went to the McDonald’s Clayton II store, at 1736-1740 Dandenong Rd, from 5am – 9am on October 18 should get tested immediately and quarantine for seven days from exposure if fully vaccinated, or 14 days if not fully vaccinated.It comes after the Woolworths Waverley Gardens store was also declared a Tier 1 site after a staff member tested positive to Covid. According to the supermarket giant, the team member last worked at the Mulgrave shopping centre store from 2.30pm – 8pm on October 15 and from 1.30pm – 7pm on October 16.Anyone who attended the venue between those hours on the 16th should get tested and follow quarantine requirements.POSITIVE CASE AT NIKOS CAKESA staff member at Nikos Cakes Oakleigh has tested positive to Covid.In a post on Instagram last Wednesday, October 13 Nikos Cakes said it had just been notified a member of its Oakleigh team had tested positive to the virus.“If you were present at the store on Saturday (October 16) from 6am -1pm we urge you to get tested,” the post said.“Our Fairfield store has not been impacted.“We are working with DHHS to determine whether we are a Tier 1 or Tier 2 site.“In the meantime we have deemed it necessary to close our store for a deep Covid clean.“All our team members are currently being tested and we will advise when we can reopen.”It comes as health officials reported a high rate of growth in Covid cases across Melbourne’s south east, including Monash.
