Ballarat secondary college closes after Covid scare

In a statement from Loreto College school principal Michelle Brodrick said the case visited “limited areas” of the school but as a precaution the school would be closed on Thursday and Friday.The school will be deep cleaned and primary close contacts identified, Ms Brodrick said.“Due to the late notice and inability for students to collect learning materials, there will be no remote learning or other school events/activities occurring,” she said.“Only staff and students who were in direct contact with the student are defined as close contacts as at this stage only they are required to isolate.”The school is in the process of identifying and contacting primary close contacts who must get tested and isolate immediately.
