According to The Sun, Simmons quietly popped the question over Christmas, with the pair only revealing their big news to close friends and family.Simmons and Jama have apparently had matching tattoos done to mark the engagement.According to reports, a Philadelphia tattoo artist who did the duo’s ink let slip on Instagram that Simmons had a finance, before deleting the post.Simmons, whose basketball future with the Philadelphia 76ers remains under a cloud, began dating Jama in May with the pair seeing each other frequently during the year as the TV star and DJ frequently flew to the US.The pair were snapped enjoyed the tennis action at The Championships in Wimbledon in London in July.The Sun reported Jama spent Christmas with Simmons at his $7m mansion in Moorestown, New Jersey.The 27-year-old Jama from Bristol, is said to be ready to make a permanent move to the US to be with Simmons as he continues to weigh up his future.He has told the 76ers he not longer wants to be a part of the outfit. But the basketball franchise has not had any luck in trading him elsewhere. The situation remains at a stalemate.It is rumoured Simmons and Jama could move to Los Angeles, where the Melbourne-born 25-year-old owns a $28m house.The Sun quoted a source on the engagement as saying: “Ben adores Maya and has fallen head over heels for her. He picked up the ring on Jewelers’ Row in the diamond district of Philadelphia the day before he proposed.“He chose the ring himself and felt he knew exactly what she would want. Maya said yes and they’re both thrilled.”Simmons has previously dated Kendall Jenner of reality TV fame Keeping up with the Kardashians.
