Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell trolled former President Donald Trump by gifting Republican senators personalized bottles of Old Crow bourbon, The Daily Mail reported.

Trump has repeatedly called McConnell an”old crow,” alongside other insulting nicknames, most recently doing so during a Pennsylvania rally on Friday night.

The former president said he stopped short of calling McConnell something ruder on Friday because of his fear of former first lady Melania Trump telling him off, Insider reported.

McConnell has previously made light of Trump’s name-calling.

In February, he shrugged off his “old crow” nickname. “It’s my favorite bourbon,” McConnell said, per the Washington Examiner.

In July 2021, he described the “old crow” moniker as “quite an honor.”

Trump turned on McConnell after he failed to support his election lies. His animosity towards the Kentucky senator grew when McConnell participated in passing President Joe Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure package.
