Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is officially three, with his royal relatives in the UK celebrating the milestone on social media in lieu of being able to join in the festivities at Harry and Meghan’s home in California.It comes amid a tense headlines for the family, after the Queen released an unprecedented statement banning them from her Jubilee celebrations. Curiously, Harry and Meghan promptly responded to confirm they would in fact be in attendance.The official Buckingham Palace Twitter account shared a photo of Meghan holding baby Archie, while Queen Elizabeth II, the late Prince Philip, Harry, and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, look on.“Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 3rd Birthday,” the caption read.Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton posted their own birthday tribute with a photo of Archie taken at his 2019 christening at Windsor Castle.“Wishing Archie a very happy 3rd Birthday today,” the Cambridges’ captioned the photo.Harry’s father Prince Charles and wife Camilla added to the tributes on their official Instagram Story, sharing a black-and-white photo of Charles standing alongside Harry, who is carrying a baby Archie.“Happy birthday Archie,” the caption read.The throwback snaps and heartfelt messages were posted on the same day Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed they would attend the Platinum Jubilee celebrations just minutes after being snubbed by the Queen.The couple confirmed they would make the journey from their home in LA with Archie and Lilibet for the four-day royal bonanza in June.The visit will be the first time Harry and Meghan have brought their family to the UK since leaving for the US in 2020.There was speculation the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not fly back amid their ongoing row over security.A statement said: “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited and honoured to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children.”The Queen is yet to meet 10-month-old Lilibet, who will celebrate her first birthday during the celebrations.She has also not seen Archie, who turned three today, since Megxit.The family will not be joining Her Majesty for the traditional Trooping the Colour RAF fly-past from the Buckingham Palace balcony.Only working members of the Royal Family will wave to crowds on The Mall as the monarch celebrates 70 years on the throne – meaning Prince Andrew is also out.
