A dedicated Robbie fan Twitter account has shared video of the 31-year-old Australian actor (and our new Barbie icon) rollerskating on set of the Greta Gerwig-directed movie, holding hands with actor America Ferrera and giving the best Barbie voice we could have asked for.“Ready for fun?” Robbie can be heard exclaiming in a perky, high-pitched voice.‘Yeah,” replies a very normal looking Ferrera, to which Robbie lets out a half screamed “yay”.The excessive but sincere enthusiasm is precisely what you’d expect a real-life Barbie to sound like, so Robbie nailed it.The clip is also strengthening plot rumours. While Robbie and co-star Ryan Gosling have been pictured in wild neon outfits that fit perfectly into the Barbie universe of our childhood, the other characters appear to be very normal.Ferrara is seen here in dark pants a regular button-up top while all the people around them are similarly regular. Previously, we’ve been given glimpses of Will Ferrell in a very standard suit.Seeing as rumour has it that the story will be about Barbie having to live in the ‘real world’ because she’s not perfect enough for Barbie World, fans are becoming certain it’s correct. The leaked footage comes a day after fans went wild for the pink and yellow neon outfits sported by Robbie and Gosling as they roller skated around Venice Beach.
