Jody Boyman spent a lifetime traveling the world as a wildlife photographer. But her trips opened her eyes to a world that was hurting from unsustainable food processes; thus, Hungry Planet was born. With her brother Todd, Boyman set out on a mission to create plant-based meat alternatives to feed a hungry planet with sustainability in mind. Hungry Planet is modernizing plant-based eating by adopting the concept of truly marrying food tech with food taste.

As the co-founder and chief purpose officer, Boyman has developed strategic client relationships, positioning Hungry Planet at the forefront of the industry and being accessible in a wide range of venues, groceries, geographies, and cuisines.

Yet before Boyman was changing the way the world eats, she actually spent her first life as a wildlife photographer, where she traveled to the ends of the world, from Africa to Antarctica. Her work has been published in esteemed publications including Time and Life. Listen to the latest episode of Second Life to hear how Boyman’s dedication to advocating for environmental causes has led her to create a brand that positively impacts plant-based lifestyles.
