OnePlus Takes a Dig at Apple and Samsung with a Cheeky OnePlus 11 Promotion

The smartphone industry is all about competition, and competition is a good thing, or things will end up in a stalemate. Apple and Samsung are two of the most significant examples of how competition works; for the most part, things have always been smooth. Today, however, OnePlus has also decided to jump on the bandwagon. Albeit, it might not sit well with everyone.

OnePlus taking a dig at Apple and Samsung feels out of place and distasteful

As you already know, the OnePlus 11 went official yesterday, and although the phone is definitely promising thanks to its attractive $699 price tag, which is lower than almost all the big-brand flagships in the market, whether they are from Android or Apple. Everything was good until the company decided to take a shot at both Samsung and Apple for their naming schemes and well, to some extent, their pricing. Have a look at the below.

You can see that OnePlus is mocking both Apple and Samsung for using Pro, Max, and Ultra in their smartphones. Now, one could say that the company is also taking a dig on itself since we have seen Pro phones from OnePlus, but that is not the case because OnePlus has decided to kill the pro line.

Honestly, there is nothing wrong with cheeky promotion. Apple and Samsung have been doing it for years, but you are getting a smartphone worth the price with those companies. OnePlus phones, on the other hand, no longer stand at the same level as Samsung and Apple. It is safe to say that the company which started with the idea of killing flagships has ended up becoming the same thing it swore to destroy at one point, and in this day and age, buying a OnePlus phone over Samsung and Apple makes no sense whatsoever.

Do you still think OnePlus phones are relevant enough to compete with Apple and Samsung? Let us know in the comments below.
