Fallout TV Show Has Wrapped Filming; Walton Goggins Hypes It Up

The Fallout TV show has wrapped filming, according to actor Walton Goggins, who posted the news on Instagram while hyping up the series as a ‘fu*king tsunami’ coming the way of fans.

Walton Goggins, known to the big public for his performances in Justified, Django Unchained, and The Hateful Eight to name a few, was cast in the upcoming TV series a little over a year ago in the role of a ghoul.

The Fallout TV show was announced in July 2020 by Amazon Studios, who partnered with Westworld creators and real-life couple Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. In early 2022, we learned that production would begin that year. Additionally, Nolan himself was set to direct the premiere episode.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner will serve as showrunners as well as executive producers alongside Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, Todd Howard from Bethesda Game Studios, James Altman from Bethesda Softworks, and Athena Wickham from Kilter Films.

Beyond Goggins, the cast also includes Ella Purnell (Kick-Ass 2, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Army of the Dead, Arkane, Yellowjackets), Kyle McLachlan (Twin Peaks, Dune, Portlandia), Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Aaron Molten.

We don’t know much about the Fallout TV show’s plot yet. However, the images and videos that have been shared so far all looked very promising in terms of authenticity to the beloved post-apocalyptic setting.

There’s no release date for the series yet, though it’ll likely be between late 2023 and early 2024 when accounting for the post-production process. Later this year, Fallout fans who play on PC will also have the opportunity to play the user-made Fallout London spin-off, which is targeting a 2023 launch as of the most recent development update.
