It was revealed last week that the Rocky actor’s wife of 25 years had filed for divorce in Palm Beach County, Florida. Divorce documents claimed Stallone “has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate”.However, court documents filed by the actor’s legal representatives say he had “not engaged” in that conduct, according to People. The Rambo actor also objected to Ms Flavin’s request to have “exclusive use” of their home in Palm Beach while the divorce played out. Divorce documents Ms Flavin filed say: “Moreover, the Husband should be enjoined from, selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of proceedings.”Stallone agreed their marriage was “irretrievably broken” — the phrase Ms Flavin used in her divorce documents.“I have the highest respect for Jennifer,” Stallone told TMZ last week.“I will always love her. She’s an amazing woman. She’s the nicest human being I’ve ever met.”In a statement issued last week, the action movie regular said: “I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”After the split, Ms Flavin said: “I’m sad … while we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters.”The marriage is Stallone’s third and most successful. The couple wed in 1997 after meeting in 1988.At the time, Ms Flavin suggested she was aware of his reputation.“I’m not naive about what may go on when I’m not around – he’s a 45-year-old man – I can’t change the way he is,” she told People.“Still, he’s not a cheating dog every day of the week. We spend five out of seven nights together, so I don’t know where he’d find the time,” she said.
