New NACON Connect Announced For March 9th; Will Provide Updates For The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum And More

A new edition of the NACON Connect online press conference was announced today by the publisher to deliver new information on some of the biggest games among the 25 titles they are releasing on PC and consoles this year.

The event, which will go live on March 9th at 6pm GMT / 7pm CET / 10am PST on YouTube and Twitch, will provide new information on games like The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, RoboCop: Rogue City, Gangs of Sherwood and Ravenswatch. During the event, NACON will also share new information on the racing game TT3: Ride on the Edge as well as on unspecified sports and simulation games.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is the game we have known about the longest among those that will be shown during the upcoming NACON Connect. Our own Chris had the chance to check out the game, highlighting how the game may be a decent enough experience, even its issues.

As a fan of Lord of the Rings, I’m looking forward to this. As a gamer, I’m hoping that it will be good. A few things make me worry that it will be a very linear progression with few challenges, such as the fact that Gollum doesn’t “level up” or essentially develop as the game progresses. This is a Tolkien estate matter, and it’s fitting. Gollum is 500+ years old; you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

Still, I’ve only seen two levels, and in the second, I didn’t even get to see the end after the fall. I hope that the aspects I’m liking so far will shine above any concerns because this is a game I’ll be playing on release.
