Contestant’s epic fail in the kitchen

Jock welcomes them and reminds them that today is an elimination. Mel lays down the rules, informing them that today they will be partnered up with someone, but they won’t be a team. Instead they’ll be cooking head-to-head. The contestants choose aprons at random and the colour determines who they are up against, and it’s revealed the contestants going head-to-head are Pete vs Elise; Kishwar vs Sabina; Minoli vs Brent; Depinder vs Maja; Linda vs Aaron and Justin vs Scott. They can cook anything they like and have an open pantry and access to the garden. Each pair will have their dish tasted at the same time. The best dish is safe, and the other person will have to cook in round 2. They each have a clock with 90 minutes on their bench and can use as much or as little of that time as they like, but any time they don’t use in the first round will be what they cook with if they get into round two.
