All the Covid numbers in your home state

Although case numbers have jumped around recently, most states and territories have shown a slight decline in their Covid-19 figures over the past seven days. On Saturday, Western Australia recorded 6566 new cases and three historical deaths that dated back to April 2. Currently, 236 people are 19 in hospital with the virus while eight of them in intensive care.During the week, daily infections peaked at 8499 on Wednesday and had a low of 6082 cases on Monday. Today’s figures are the second highest over the week. Victoria recorded 9610 new infections and seven deaths on Saturday.There are 366 people hospitalised with 15 in intensive care and three on ventilators.Today’s figures are the lowest daily case numbers since April 3 where 9008 new cases were reported. On Friday, there were 11,192 recorded infections. In Queensland, there were 8687 new infections over the past 24 hours and two deaths. Hospitalisations stand at 480 while 16 people are in intensive care.While Saturday’s figures are the lowest over the past three days, daily case numbers were lower earlier in the week with 7707 recorded on Monday. Yesterday there were 10,092. There were 17,597 new cases recorded in NSW on Saturday as well as 10 deaths. Currently, 1437 patients are in hospital and 47 of those are in intensive care.Over the week, daily case numbers peaked at 24,151 on Wednesday but Saturday’s figures are far from the lowest as 15,572 were recorded on Monday. In South Australia, 4777 new infections had been counted and one person infected with the virus had died.Based on the most recent data, 201 people with COVID-19 are hospitalised, including 13 people in intensive care and one who is ventilated.Saturday’s numbers have dramatically dropped from yesterday’s 5666 infections and are the lowest since Monday when 4595 were recorded.It was only on Thursday that the state beat its previously daily case record reporting 6091 positive tests.Tasmania recorded 1803 new cases on Saturday.There were no deaths over the past 24 hours. Currently, 28 people are in hospital and one is in intensive care. Cases peaked during the week at 2437 infections on Tuesday, with the lowest daily figures reported on Monday with 1725 cases.In the Northern Territory, 471 new cases were reported today. There are 24 patients in hospital with eight of them requiring oxygen. Saturday’s figures are the second lowest across the past week with Monday’s 304 new cases being the lowest and Tuesday’s 550 infections being the highest.
