Facebook has updated its web experience globally as it cites in a blog post. The new web experience is now easier to use, clutter-free, and also adds something that we have been waiting for a long time – Dark Mode. Yes, we’re very familiar that dark mode for Facebook’s application on iOS and Android is still out of the question but we’re a step closer. Dark Mode on Facebook’s web version is still a pretty neat addition and, to be honest, it looks stunning.
How to Enable Dark Mode on Facebook Web – Simple Steps!
The new version of the Facebook web is great and all but the highlight of the update is definitely the darker shade of the interface. It works to put less strain on your eyes when you’re using it at night. Apart from the dark theme, the update also brings dramatic overhaul changes to the table, like the Home layout which features a lean News Feed.
Moreover, this gives room to a lot of blank space on the left and right, which now looks cleaner. In addition to this, the icons are enlarged and a menu bar now lets you jump right into specific sections of the app. In my personal opinion, the web version of Facebook now looks a lot like the mobile version, which is great when it comes to general scrolling and seeing everything right in the center.
If you’re interested in checking out the new Dark Mode on the Facebook web, you have to enable it manually. In fact, if you’re still using Facebook’s classic build, you first have to “Switch to new Facebook’. If you’re unfamiliar, we have devised a set of step by step instructions that you can follow to get Dark Mode on the Facebook web. Here’s how to do it.
- The first thing that you have to do is click on the Down Arrow situated on the top right corner of the menu bar.
- Now, select “Switch to new Facebook“.
- Once you do that, click the same Down Arrow.
- Finally, Toggle On Dark Mode.
That’s all that you have to do in order to enable Dark Mode on the Facebook web. The core purpose of the redesign is to focus on aspects of the platform that people still love to use. All the extras have been cut off and the user experience is now more streamlined and to-the-point. Every important section is present like Events, Groups, Messages, and more. The new Facebook experience will deliver content on your News Feed with relevant information and posts.
