Nevada has voted for a Republican in seven of the last 12 presidential elections but has voted for a Democrat in each of the last three elections. There are no major down-ballot races in the state in the 2020 election.
The state is firmly in Democratic control, with Democrats holding both houses of the state legislature, governor, and five out of six congressional seats. Nevada has six electoral votes and is not expected by analysts to be competitive.
