Beaches escapee collapses in pizza shop

NSW Police said they started investigating on Wednesday after receiving reports that a woman from the northern beaches had collapsed at a pizza shop in Sanctuary Point, about 200km south of Sydney, on Tuesday evening.The woman was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital for treatment where police were told she appeared to be experiencing symptoms.But NSW Police said she declined to be tested and left the hospital.Police visited a home on Edmund Street, Sanctuary Point on Wednesday and spoke with the 37-year-old woman and three other occupants.All four were directed to self-isolate.The Bilgola Plateau woman has since been issued a $1000 fine for failing to comply with requirement of public health order – COVID-19.

It is understood the pizza store has closed for cleaning as a precaution.Northern beaches residents are currently restricted from leaving their local area due to a coronavirus outbreak.It comes after NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced nine new cases of community transmission in NSW on Thursday, with two still under investigation.

The remaining seven were linked to the northern beaches cluster, taking the total number of infections in the outbreak to 104.An virus alert has been issued for Sydney’s CBD after a worker tested positive to coronavirus.People who have been in the Hunter and Bligh streets area, including the Australia Square building, MLC Centre and Chifley Square have been told to monitor for symptoms and get tested should even the mildest symptoms develop.Another new case reported on Thursday attended the Paragon Hotel sports bar at 1 Loftus Street near Circular Quay.Anyone who attended the sports bar for more than one hour between 12.45pm and 3.30pm on Wednesday December 16 has been considered a close contact.Those people should get tested immediately and isolate for 14 days even if they receive a negative result.
