In footage from tonight’s I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here episode shared with news.com.au, the Channel 10 star reveals he was asked out by the Baywatch icon while she was in Australia promoting M&M’s.According to reports from 2006, Anderson took a fleeting trip to Melbourne to relaunch green M&M’s and test a theory that the green chocolates are an aphrodisiac. It seems Denyer almost became part of the experiment, with the TV host sharing that he was invited to party with the star.

Sharing his tale of missed opportunity with his fellow I’m A Celeb camp mates during a game of “truth or lie”, Denyer began: “Pamela Anderson wanted to date me,” to the unconvinced crowd.“She was out doing a promotional tour for M&M’s. I was nervous as hell, really shy … Very turned on,” he joked.“And she was like ‘You’re cute, do you want to come to a party with me?’”Continuing the story looking slightly crestfallen, he revealed he turned the offer down as he had a flight back from Melbourne to Sydney that night.“I said no … Because I had to fly home.”His tale prompted roars of “LIAR” from the other celebs, who couldn’t believe he’d reject (or perhaps receive) such an offer from Pamela Anderson of all people.“No one believed that this honey pot here could lure in a bee like Pamela Anderson,” Denyer told the camera elsewhere.“Not a notch on my belt, but it’s a scar on my memory,” he added with a laugh, telling the stars “I regret it to this day.”

Denyer has been increasingly candid around the campsite this season, despite admitting his reluctance to appear on the show.Speaking to TV Week earlier this month, Denyer even admitted he wished he’d said no to the reality TV venture when he first laid eyes on the cast.“When I arrived, I was like, ‘I’ve made the wrong decision,’” former Family Feud host Denyer, 43, told the publication.“It hit me like a ton of bricks. I thought, ‘Oh, my God – I can’t be here around the clock with these fame-seekers bouncing off the walls busting to be on camera. This is going to kill me.’”He said eventually, everyone realised they needed each other, and they ended up becoming quite close.“If we didn’t do that, the show would have smashed us and we would have walked out in droves,” he said.“It was that harrowing.”
I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! airs tonight from 7.30pm on Channel 10
