This year, Inauguration Day promises to be unlike any other. Not only are we swearing in President-elect Joe Biden as the nation’s 46th president only 14 days after an attempted coup, we are also swearing in Kamala Harris as the very first woman, Black person, and South Asian person as vice president. Huzzah!
The event is expected to begin around 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Jan. 20, and will feature performances from Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez. In the evening, a primetime special entitled Celebrating America will air for 90 minutes from 8.30 p.m. ET.
