Fully-electric cars still command a premium price, but Tesla is slowly but surely making its vehicles more affordable. Today, the price of the Model 3 and Model Y fell, but only for the base models.
As Business Insider reports, the Model 3 is $1,000 cheaper, costing $36,990 for the base model instead of the previous $37,990 price tag. However, the Model 3 Performance configuration has seen its price increase by the same amount, taking it from $54,990 to $55,990.
It’s a similar situation with the Model Y. The base model is now $2,000 cheaper, costing $39,990, while the Model Y Performance configuration has increased in price from $59,990 to $60,990. Read more…
