Simmons returned to Instagram to say she felt “a sense of freedom” after speaking her truth by accusing her half-brother and Ben’s manager Sean Tribe of molesting her as a child.Tribe vigorously denied the claims which Olivia made on Twitter.“I’m just at this point in my life and my journey where it’s OK to be me and being me means being honest and I wouldn’t be the advocate that I am, I wouldn’t be the woman that I am, if I didn’t stand in my truth,’’ Simmons said in a video posted to her Instagram stories. “Sometimes the truth is really shocking and it hurts and there’s a lot of emotions for an array of different people but this is what the truth looks like for me and I feel a sense of freedom to be honest with you and I’ve been feeling it for quite some time now.“And I encourage anyone that is going through what I went through and maybe adult trauma to fix that s—. And figure out what it is because you don’t have to stay f—ed up. “It’s not your fault what happened to you, and it can be fixed and you can live a full life that doesn’t revolve around that story of who you were when you were traumatised or who you became because of the trauma. “You can fix it, you can fix it, you can fix it and it takes a lot of courage and it’s not easy but the first step is acceptance. Accept that some really f—ed up s— happened to you and you didn’t deserve it. “But you do deserve to heal, everyone deserves to heal. Even the people who are involved in what happened to me, they deserve to heal. It’s 2021, it’s time to heal.”Olivia claimed recently she was being “intimidated heavily” after her family drafted in a powerhouse legal team who are representing Christian Porter in his defamation battle against the ABC.Olivia, who is close to her NBA superstar brother Ben, previously said she wasn’t backing down.“I am being intimidated heavily and being asked to post a public statement that I am lying,’’ she wrote on Twitter.“I wouldn’t be a good woman or person if I allowed people to bully me into lying for their own personal gain. I have people coming to my home, trying to force themselves inside, this whole situation is mind blowing.“My mother and her children would rather cover this up than hold Sean accountable. I STAND IN MY TRUTH AND YOU WILL NOT BULLY ME INTO ANYTHING.”It’s believed Tribe commenced urgent proceedings against Olivia after his family made repeated attempts to reach out to the 29-year-old to address her accusations.Olivia has claimed her father, David, was not aware of the statement released by Tribe on behalf of the family, and said he was “by my side through this”.Tribe alleged in his statement Olivia had been battling mental illness issues.
