The AFLW star is asking for about $150,000 to play in the 2022 season, which would make her one of the highest-paid players in the sport.“It’s completely up to my management,’’ Harris told the Herald Sun.“That’s Alex (Saundry)’s pretty much big role, so I was very happy just to say I’m occupied.“It’s Alex’s job and I trust her fully. I trust all that information to stay where it needs to be and obviously the media does what it does and a lot of it is a bit skewed from the truth. “Of course I love the club, my friends are there.”Harris, 24, was believed to have earned about $80,000 this year, and the Blues are baulking at her new asking price after one of her worst seasons as a player and question marks over her commitment. Saundry has said she is worth “a significant amount” and it’s believed the situation could be resolved by the end of the week.Harris, who has a statue at Federation Square, is also part of a documentary being filmed about her career called Kick Like Tayla on Amazon Prime. The blonde key forward was made famous by The Kick photograph, and is currently preparing to return to the boxing ring in July. She also revealed she has become a wedding celebrant.“It takes a few months to get the registration back so I don’t think I’m allowed to announce it til that email comes back to me,’’ Harris said in Sydney at the Amazon launch.“It’s 100 percent boxing now and I’ll fight in July some time. I obviously didn’t box over COVID and then footy season came around. It’s something I really love and it gives me a purpose and I’m really fit so I’m looking forward to that challenge and having no distractions.”She added that she loves being a role model and had no reservations about doing the documentary.“All the time (I get comments), it’s my favourite thing to receive for someone to say I’ve managed to influence them in a positive way or perhaps parents saying it and I feel really honoured.”
