The feud started in 2019 when Kochie accused Martha of elbowing him on the Logies red carpet.“I’ve still got bruises in the ribs from the Married At First Sight woman who elbowed me on the way through,” he said on Sunrise at the time. “I had no idea who she was.”His comments prompted a pile-on from the other Sunrise hosts with Natalie Barr saying Martha “was fierce” and “had attitude” on the red carpet.Sports presenter Mark Beretta joked: “Do not get between Martha and a camera,” and Samantha Armytage chipped in with, “Especially when you’ve only got 15 minutes of fame.”Martha hit back in a YouTube video titled My Final Say To Kochie And Sunrise and denied the incident ever happened.“Kochie refused to apologise for lying about the elbowing incident. He just thinks I don’t deserve an apology,” Martha said in the video. “It’s at the expense of my wellbeing and it’s not fair.“He just thinks that because I was on a reality TV show and am a reality TV star that I don’t deserve to get an apology for him. Perhaps that I’m beneath him,” she said.“I’m a person and I have feelings and Sam and Koch have caused me so much stress and anxiety these past few days and I just feel like it’s so unnecessary, like for what, for ratings?”RELATED: The Veronicas have a heated clash on Celebrity ApprenticeFormer Sunrise co-host Sam Armytage was later asked by Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa if Martha really did elbow Kochie.“No, it happened,” Armytage laughed. “I won’t throw any shade at Martha, but let’s not give it any more oxygen because the 15 minutes is going on and on.”She continued: “Have you ever been on those red carpets? They’re pushy. Have you ever been on those red carpets with a reality star … it’s very pushy.”The feud died down between Martha and Kochie after that, but this morning it came roaring back to life during the Celebrity Apprentice star’s appearance on Kyle and Jackie O.Martha was challenged by the KIIS FM hosts to call five different celebrities on her phone. If all five answered, she would win $2000 for her favourite charity, Bully Zero. One of the celebrities they challenged her to call was Kochie, but the call went to voicemail as Kochie was on air on Channel 7 at the time.Martha left the breakfast TV host a message, saying: “Hey buddy, it’s Martha Kalifatidis calling you here from Kyle and Jackie O. Just wanted to call you up, we are working with Bully Zero, an amazing charity. We thought this would be a great opportunity for you to clean up on air that I never elbowed you on the red carpet and you clearly did that for clickbait and for some attention, which you got.”After Martha hung up, Jackie O commented with delight: “It was a sassy message!”
