Divided up into three teams, it’s quickly revealed that for the first time in MasterChef history, each team will feed over 100 diners in their very own homes, creating a pop-up menu for Deliveroo. The menu will need to consist of 60 serves of food, with each containing a starter, main and a side dish. The contestants will have to design a menu that will travel to paying customers who expect high quality – and hot food. The team with the least impressive menu will head into tomorrow’s Pressure Test, where someone will be going home.Captaining the Orange Team is Scott, with Sabina, Linda and Elise. They quickly agree on a Thai theme for their menu and will serve Thai fish cakes with a sweet chilli dipping sauce for their entree, a red duck curry with steamed rice for their main, and a Pad Kra Pao for their side dish. But in a clip shared with news.com.au, the team cop flack from the judges for their duck usage.RELATED: Heartbreaking ordeal behind Brent’s sudden TV exitRELATED: MasterChef sparks new crazeThey decide to only use the legs from each duck, meaning they are wasting a huge amount of produce, which doesn’t sit well with Jock and Andy. While working on a Red Duck Curry for their Thai-inspired Deliveroo menu, Jock and Andy grill the team for only using the ‘marylands’ or legs, and wasting the majority of the duck.Andy says: “Just the marylands? That seems like madness.”The team members Sabina and Scott insist they don’t have time to use the rest of the duck, leaving Jock and Andy speechless over the waste. To see if the team decide to use the rest of their duck, tune into MasterChef tonight at 7:30pm.
