Videos have emerged on social media of revellers dancing on crowded dance floors. Many patrons appear not to be wearing face masks or social distancing. One video appears to show people dancing in close proximity at popular CBD nightclub Ms Collins. The videos were posted early on Saturday morning between the hours of 12am and 2am.The videos have since been taken down. The Herald Sun attempted to contact Ms Collins multiple times for comment.Asked at a Covid briefing press conference about the videos circulating on social media, Health Minister Martin Foley said he had not yet seen them but any venue that breached public health orders “runs the risk of substantial on the spot fines” and repeat offenders could be “closed down”.“Victoria Police and Authorised Officers have already closed a number of businesses for breaching QR code and checking arrangements,” Mr Foley said.Under Victoria’s current restrictions, nightclubs are allowed to operate with seated service and density limits.Dancefloors remain closed.Masks are mandatory indoors and all patrons must check in to venues using a QR code.
