On the third day of the state’s snap lockdown, there were 18 new cases in total, with two of them detected in hotel quarantine.All of the cases are linked to known outbreaks.One of the new cases was in a rugby fan who attended AAMI Park on Tuesday to watch the Wallabies versus France clash.AAMI Park was on Friday identified as an exposure site after it was revealed a positive case attended the same match after contracting the virus at the MCG.The results came after more than 53,000 coronavirus tests were conducted in the 24 hours to midnight on Saturday.There were also 16,751 people vaccine doses administered.The latest infections take the total number of known active cases in the state to 70.More to come.
