The state’s Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said she could not make a decision until she had Sunday’s case numbers in front of her. “It depends on what the numbers are tomorrow morning,” she said on Saturday.“Today’s numbers are encouraging, but I really can’t predict what tomorrow will do. “I need those numbers before we have a decision.”The state recorded 13 new cases on Saturday, all linked to the Indooroopilly cluster. Twelve cases were in isolation during their infectious period, with the 13th, a child, still being investigated. Eleven southeast Queensland Local Government Areas are living under strict rules, with hopes restrictions will ease on Sunday.Dr Young had previously flagged that some restrictions including masks may remain after lockdown ends. Residents in the 11 LGAs are not allowed to leave home without a good reason including essential work, shopping for essential goods and services, and providing care.A 10km travel limit is in place and visitors to homes are not allowed.
