Sierra and Tomic appeared to take time apart after she posted a video of him smashing her laptop during a tantrum in Croatia. She had reported the incident to local police but then withdrew the complaint in June.“I’m never on bad terms with anyone even if they do wrong by me,’’ Sierra told her social media followers on Monday night. “When all this shit went down with him, he was going through a lot mentally. “There’s obviously a lot to this story that you guys don’t know. I never hate people, I always think, OK, why does this certain behaviour happen, why did they do this?“I don’t take it personally.”Sierra, 26, has based herself in Dubai after travelling around Europe with Tomic as his tennis coach. She also made headlines while quarantining with him in Melbourne during the Australian Open in February. They reunited last week in France and she posted that she cried when she saw him again. She said everyone makes mistakes.“Obviously I pulled myself away from the situation and I gave myself a couple of months to think about things,’’ Sierra continued.“When you separate yourself from someone for a while and you come back to them with a clearer head, it’s a lot easier to resolve things with them than being spiteful, hating each other for just one thing that happened. “Everyone makes mistakes. I’ve made mistakes, as well, and I would hope that people try and understand why that happened as well. That’s how we were able to resolve things.”Sierra revealed last month she had contracted Covid-19 and says she’s still suffering the effects of it. She said she’d rather catch Covid “twice over again” than get vaccinated.“If my voice sounds croaky it’s because my lungs are still f—ed from Covid,’’ she said.“I cough a lot when I play tennis. I still try to push through it because I love sport … my lungs are really fluidy.”
