The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Chase Sapphire Reserve® offer excellent benefits.
Some perks aren’t as well known, like Chase Dining, Peloton credits, and DoorDash benefits.
Sapphire Reserve cardholders can also access premium travel insurance benefits.
Ever since their introduction, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Chase Sapphire Reserve® have been tremendously popular among award travel enthusiasts.
Here’s a look at some of the Chase Sapphire benefits that you might not be taking advantage of.
Lesser-known Chase Sapphire card benefits
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
Chase Dining
With great bonus categories for travel and dining purchases, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and Chase Sapphire Reserve® appeal to those who tend to eat out a lot.
So if you have one of these cards, then you might enjoy taking advantage of Chase Dining, powered by Tock, which allows you to make reservations and even redeem your Chase Ultimate Rewards points for reservations, takeout, or delivery.
Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders also have access to the Sapphire Private Dining Series at exclusive restaurants. There are even Sapphire at Home dining events that offer interactive virtual experiences in your own home.
Chase Experiences
As a Chase Sapphire cardholder, you can gain exclusive access to numerous music and sports venues including Madison Square Garden in New York, the Chase Center in San Francisco, and The Forum in Los Angeles. There are also discounts on virtual and in-person experiences such as the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Philadelphia Zoo, and the St. Louis Aquarium.
Emergency evacuation and transportation benefit
This little-known benefit is offered to Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders and their immediate family members, and can be extremely valuable when needed.
It offers up to $100,000 in coverage if you’re injured or become critically ill during a covered trip of between five and 60 days. All you have to do is charge a portion of the cost, or the entire cost of a covered trip to your account. The evacuation also has to be approved by Chase’s benefits administrator in consultation with a licensed physician.
And if you’re hospitalized for more than eight days, it will even pay the cost of an economy class ticket to bring a friend or relative to your bedside.
Emergency medical and dental benefit
Here’s another Chase Sapphire Reserve® benefit that’s become extremely valuable in the age of COVID. This benefit will supplement any existing medical coverage you have if you are injured and become ill during a trip of five to 60 days. However, it has a maximum benefit of $2,500 and is subject to a $50 deductible.
It will even cover your hotel convalescence for up to $75 per day, for up to five days.
Lyft benefits
Looking to save money and earn rewards on rideshares? Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card cardholders earn 5x points on Lyft rides through March 2022, which works out to 3x points in addition to the 2x points you already earn on travel.
Better yet, Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders earn 10x points on Lyft rides through March 2022, which works out to 7x points in addition to the 3x points already earned on travel purchases (after earning the $300 travel credit). Plus, Chase Sapphire Reserve® users also receive a complimentary Lyft membership that offers 15% off of every ride.
DoorDash benefits
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card cardholders receive unlimited deliveries with no delivery fee and reduced service fees on orders over $12 for a minimum of one year on qualifying food purchases with DoorDash DashPass, so long as you activate by December 31, 2021.
In addition to the DoorDash DashPass benefit, Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders receive up to $60 in statement credits on DoorDash purchases made through December 31, 2021.
Peloton benefits
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card cardholders get up to $60 back on an eligible Peloton Digital or All-Access Membership through December 31, 2021, while Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders receive up to a $120 credit.
Many credit cards come with a benefit called “roadside assistance” or “roadside dispatch.” These benefits can be useful to arrange help, but you’ll still have to pay for any actual services provided.
However, the Chase Sapphire Reserve®‘s roadside assistance program will actually pay for several types of basic service to your vehicle. Covered services include jump starts, changing a flat, and delivering up to two gallons of fuel. Also, if your car needs to be towed to a mechanic, or you’re locked out of your vehicle, this benefit will cover the first $50 of the cost, up to four times per year.
