The double-dose rate is at 87.82 per cent and 93.58 per cent of over 16s have had one dose according to data to be confirmed by the commonwealth later today. It comes as the daily local Covid case total continues to trend downwards with 135 new infections reported on Monday. Four more people have died from the virus. It comes as Premier Dominic Perrottet hinted at a change to the state’s road map out of lockdown and potentially pushing back the December 1 reopening date for unvaccinated residents.“We’re looking at that. We have a cabinet meeting this week to talk through those further details,” Mr Perrottet told Nine. “We set a road map to provide clarity and certainty for people, but we want to drive that vax rate up as high as we can up to around 95 per cent”. “Ultimately there are opportunities to bring forward some of those relaxing of restrictions, we will do that as well.”“We’ve said we can move things forward, we will, but ultimately we want to have as many people across the state to have the opportunity to get vaccinated. That’s the key to opening up safely.” If the current rate of vaccination is maintained, NSW could reach the 95 per cent double vaccination target by mid-December.NAT – Stay Informed – Social Media
