Addressing the media in Canberra, Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly said the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation reviewed the evidence and was standing by its six month booster shot recommendation. “There is no evidence to suggest that an earlier booster dose of the current COVID-19 vaccines will augment the protection against the Omicron (variant),” Dr Kelly said.
