2 Ways to Style the Gift on Everyone’s Wish List

Having a pair of sunglasses on me at all times is nonnegotiable—and not just because I live in Los Angeles. Just try leaving home at noon, no matter where you live, even one time without a pair, and you’ll understand why they’re an accessory I shop for all year round. Beyond practicality, sunglasses also add that extra stylish touch to even the most simple of outfits. Right now, I’m excited to snap up some exclusive styles that just launched at Sunglass Hut.

The retailer is home to all of my favorite eyewear brands, and the current styles on offer are anything but boring. I, for one, will not be styling any daytime looks without them. And stylish New Yorker Amy Lefévre agrees. “There are times when I’m looking at an outfit and I can’t figure out what’s missing, but once I throw on a pair of sunglasses, it feels complete,” she says. Lefévre’s already styled two new pairs of sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, and now I want them even more. PS: These frames make seriously genius gifts.

Ray-Ban’s latest drop features a new hexagonal frame shape, and I’m already predicting it will be the brand’s most popular style come 2022. They’re just as cool as the classic round frames but a bit edgier and more unique. “I love the way smaller frames like these Ray-Bans look on me, and I usually go for black or brown styles because they go with everything,” Lefévre says of this pair.

Lefévre styled her sunglasses with expertly layered, polished separates, my favorite of which is that oversize leather blazer. To make her footwear weather-appropriate and to add a little holiday touch, she added some seriously cute shimmery socks.

Consider this your sign to start shopping in the men’s section for blazers, hoodies, and yes, even sunglasses (if you aren’t doing this already). These Versace frames are a good place to start. While they’re technically a men’s style, Lefévre proves they’re the perfect choice for anyone. “I love this pair because they make a statement without being too loud, and the Versace emblem in the middle is everything,” she says.

I love that Lefévre styled her ’70s-inspired frames with other pieces that also nod to that era. Between the sunglasses, the velvet dress, and the chunky gold heels, this is a really chic way to tap into the retro trend. Plus, that gold Versace Medusa icon really pops against the other metallic accessories.
