Gold FM’s Christian O’Connell marked his thirteenth consecutive survey as No.1 FM breakfast show, while Fox FM’s Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody was the biggest mover rising 1.9 to 6.6 percent, behind O’Connell on 8.0. KIIS FM’s new breakfast duo since August, Lauren Phillips and Jase Hawkins, also posted a small gain to 5.0 as Smoothfm’s Jennifer Hansen and Mike Perso impressively jumped up to 6.3 and Marty Sheargold on Triple M lifted from 3.6 to 4.6.The Covid-hit Nova team of Jonathan Brown, Chrissie Swan and Sam Pang dropped 0.8 to 6.1. 3AW’s leading breakfast duo Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft lost 1.5 but were still way out in front on 22.8.ABC’s Sammy J remained steady on 14.0.In mornings 3AW’s Neil Mitchell fell 3.4 but was still the most listened to on 17.9 and Tom Elliott in drive also lost some ground but was ahead on 13.0.“We worked our guts out,’’ said Mitchell who won his 22nd ACRA award for best talk presenter. “It’s been two years of intense current affairs and I haven’t had a break since June so it’s nice to end the year on a high.”Gold FM was the top FM station in mornings and afternoons.Mick Molloy bowed out of Triple M drive on 5.0. Fox FM leapt ahead, with Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little (8.1) pushing past last survey’s leaders Kate, Tim and Joel on Nova (7.0). KIIS FM’s Will and Woody gained 1.6.With the footy season over, SEN fell across the board — Mornings with Gerard Whateley going down by 1.4 to 2.1 and breakfast recording 2.3 having been at 3.8 in October.
