  • Three Chase United credit cards are offering elevated welcome bonuses through January 26, 2022.
  • The highest offer is for the United Club℠ Infinite Card: United Club℠ Infinite Card.
  • There are increased offers on the United℠ Explorer Card and United Gateway℠ Card as well.

If you missed out on the last round of elevated United credit card bonuses, Chase has launched new offers on three United credit cards that are worth considering. However, there’s very little time left to apply, because these offers are ending on January 26, 2022.

United miles are handy even if you don’t fly United, because, in addition to using them for award flights on United, you can use them for award flights on Star Alliance airlines like Air Canada, Lufthansa, and ANA. Plus, United miles never expire, so even if you don’t have travel plans yet, there’s no harm in earning miles now to use down the road.

These aren’t the highest offers we’ve seen on the United℠ Explorer Card and United Gateway℠ Card this year; however, the bonus on the United Club℠ Infinite Card matches the highest-ever bonus it had when it launched in 2020.

In addition, all of these cards, including the no-annual-fee United Gateway℠ Card, come with a little-known but incredibly valuable perk. Cardholders get expanded United award availability, which means they can access more available award seats than the general public. This can make a big difference if you need to find award flights on popular routes or during peak times, especially if you travel as a group.

Here’s what to know about these limited-time offers to help you decide if you should apply.

United Club℠ Infinite Card: Earn 100,000 miles

The United Club℠ Infinite Card is Chase’s premium United card, with a United Club℠ Infinite Card annual fee. New cardholders can earn United Club℠ Infinite Card.

While United Club℠ Infinite Card is a lot to pay for a credit card, this card is worth it if you’re a frequent United flyer and travel through airports with United Club lounges often. You’ll receive a United Club membership, which allows access to United Club lounges for you and up to two two adult guests, or one other adult and any children under the age of 21. Membership also gets you access to participating Star Alliance lounges around the world.

Cardholders also receive premium perks like a first and second free checked bag on United flights for themselves and one companion on the same reservation (when you use the card to pay for your ticket, or the taxes and fees on an award ticket). Other benefits include a Global Entry/TSA PreCheck application fee credit, Premier Access (priority check-in, security screening, boarding, and baggage handling), primary car rental insurance, and Premier upgrades on award tickets.

United℠ Explorer Card: Earn 60,000 miles

The United℠ Explorer Card normally offers a bonus of 40,000 miles after meeting minimum spending requirements, so the new offer to earn United℠ Explorer Card is a nice boost. There’s an annual fee of United℠ Explorer Card.

This is the best all-around card for United flyers, because, on United flights, cardholders and a companion on the same reservation receive a free first checked bag when they pay with the card. You’ll also get priority boarding, a 25% discount on inflight food, beverage, and Wi-Fi purchases, and two one-time United Club passes each year (worth $59 apiece).

The United℠ Explorer Card also comes with up to $100 in statement credits for the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee every four years.

United Gateway℠ Card: Earn 20,000 miles

The no-annual-fee United Gateway℠ Card doesn’t offer as many perks as other United cards, and usually only offers a welcome bonus of 10,000 miles after meeting minimum spending requirements.

With this limited-time offer, the bonus has been doubled to United Gateway℠ Card.

The United Gateway℠ Card doesn’t offer much in the way of travel benefits, except a 25% discount on inflight purchases and no foreign transaction fees. However, if your reason for getting a United card is to access expanded award availability on United flights, this card is a good choice — with no annual fee, you can keep it for the long term and still enjoy access to this valuable benefit.

Other ways to earn United miles

Chase also offers several other United credit cards, but they’re each offering their standard welcome bonuses right now:

If you’re not looking for specific United travel benefits and just want to earn United miles, a card that earns transferable Chase Ultimate Rewards points might be a better bet. You can transfer Ultimate Rewards points to United at a 1:1 ratio when you have one of these cards:
