Spring has rolled around, and even with a closet full of clothes, I feel like I have nothing to wear. (Anyone else?) To snag a little bit of inspo, I tapped three trendsetters from the IG world—Kim Mitchell, Ella Miller, and Seyi Famuwiya—for some insight (pictures, styling tips… the whole shebang) on what they’re putting together this season. I mean, their content full of cool, copy-worthy ‘fits has ended up in my saved folder numerous times, so it felt like a no-brainer to hit them up. Just as I expected, the looks they sent over were pretty freaking cute. However, I didn’t expect so many of their favorite new spring-ready pieces to be so affordable. (We have Walmart to thank for that!) The latest drop from the retailer’s in-house brand, Free Assembly, is well priced, more sustainable (hello, organic cotton and low water usage), and perfect for everyday wear. Want to see what they put together? Keep scrolling.
“This spring, I’m all about dresses. They easily transition from spring to warmer weather just by adding a layer or accessories. When I first saw this Free Assembly dress and sweater, I loved how you could wear the pieces separately or layer them. The dress can be styled in a more polished way for work but would also pair well with sneakers for a weekend of running errands. I also love that the set has a classic, timeless look. And you can’t beat under $60 for both pieces!”
“Spring is a more playful season, so I like to start mixing and matching with neutrals and pops of color. This breezy and bright camp shirt pairs perfectly with the one spring piece I can’t live without: neutral jeans. I swear they go with so many cute looks. Plus, they’re so comfortable (essential for my upcoming fun spring activities). You’ll find me wearing this to a picnic in the park or on a stroll around the farmers market.”
“I am so here for the continued surge of two-piece sets. They are truly the gift that keeps on giving because there are just so many ways you can remix each piece to make a completely different look. (You really get your bang for your buck.) For this particular set, I wanted to play on the utility aspect, so I paired it with a pair of black ankle boots. I, for one, will still be wearing boots in the spring, so this was a perfect match. I honestly feel like a boss in this set, but the best part is how comfortable these utility pants are. They are soft to the touch and just fall so perfectly on the legs.”
