“Suspiria” is inspired by the 1977 film of the same name. Directed by Luca Guadagnino, the 2018 supernatural horror movie stars Dakota Johnson as an aspiring dancer who gets taken in by the Markos Dance Company — a troupe surrounded by an air of dark mystery.
The film builds suspense slowly over its 153 minutes, resulting in a powerfully tense and disturbing watch that may not be for everyone. “Suspiria” received a 65% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Where horror, comedy, action, and disaster collide, you’ll find “Sharknado.” This wild concept of a film has expanded into a franchise with multiple movies, video games, and even comics. Plot-wise, it’s exactly as the name suggests: an unexpected cyclone sweeps up some sharks from the ocean and tosses them across Los Angeles, resulting in action and chaos.
Originally released on the SyFy channel, “Sharknado” was directed by Anthony C. Ferrante and stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. It received a 74% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

“The Taking of Deborah Logan” is a found-footage horror movie that takes the form of a student documentary. Jill Larson stars as Deborah Logan, a woman with Alzheimer’s disease who serves as a research subject. When Deborah starts exhibiting mysteriously supernatural symptoms outside of the disease’s purview, the student crew begins to get uneasy.

More than just supernatural, “Oculus” is also a psychological thriller that jumps between time periods to fully encapsulate the characters’ lives leading up to this point. It received a “75% Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
