A new season of “Russian Doll” hits Netflix on April 20. The dark comedy follows Nadia (Natasha Lyonne), a woman who is trapped in a time loop.
In the show’s first season, Nadia lives the same day over and over again, with each day culminating in her dying. As she tries to escape this inexplicable time loop, she meets Alan (Charlie Barnett), who is stuck in a time loop of his own. The show also stars Greta Lee, Yul Vazquez, and Elizabeth Ashley. Annie Murphy joins the cast for season two.
The new season will pick up just shy of Nadia’s 40th birthday after a four-year time jump from the end of season one. Based on the trailer, it looks like season two will introduce time travel elements in addition to time loops.
