Gordon, who is better known as Brynne Edelsten, has begun Supreme Court action against the executers of Edelsten’s estate claiming she has not been adequately provided for.Court documents claim Edelsten left large chunks of money to friends, acquaintance and a business associate but as his ex-wife she received nothing. This was despite a stoush over the couple’s financial affairs still not being finalised at the time of his death.Edelsten died on June 11, 2021 aged 78, leaving an estate valued at just over $1 million. In his will he left nothing to Gordon or his third wife Gabi Grecko, with whom he split in 2014. Edelsten left $50,000 to his son.But Gordon’s court documents claim instead Edelsten provided “$25,000 to people who appear to be friends or acquaintances, gifts by way of commission in the order of $25,000 to each of his executers, a legacy of $300,000 to a business associate, two legacies of $100,000 to two charities and the residue divided between four charities.”“The distribution of the deceased’s estate affected by his said will is such as to not make adequate provision for the proper maintenance and support of the plaintiff.”Gordon is asking the court to order that proper maintenance and support be provided to her from Edelsten’s estate and for it to decide the amount to which she is entitled. In his will, which was drawn up in 2017, Edelsten included a clause explaining why he was leaving Gordon nothing.“I have made no provision for my former wife Brynne Gordon as we are divorced and I had made substantial and excessive provision for her during my marriage to her,” the will stated.Gordon gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Starr Amari Gordon, on April 21, 2022.She has not revealed the identity of Starr’s father.Gordon is listed as taking action against Michael John Webb and Lindsay Lawrence Hosking as the executers of Edelsten’s will.
