The run-in happened back when Jackie O was married to her first husband, former on-air co-host “Ugly” Phil O’Neil (the pair wed in 1994 when she was 19, but split in 1999).“We loved The Castle. At the afterparty, Phil goes and buys a bottle of red wine and takes it over to Michael Caton. He says, ‘Mate, I just love you and what you do, and I wanted to give you this bottle of wine.’ He said, ‘No thanks.’ So Phil just walked back with the bottle of wine,” she claimed. “I think he actually said worse than that, if I’m honest. A polite way of saying, ‘go away.’”Jackie explained that she saw the encounter take place but didn’t hear what was said – but she remembered a sheepish Phil returning to her and saying “Oh wow … that was embarrassing.”“It’s really hard to go up to a celebrity that you love, because you’re nervous and you hope that they’re going to be nice to you.
