Black Lives Matter Leader Sued, Accused Of Stealing $10 Million From Organization

The upper echelon of the Black Lives Matter organization continues to be plagued with accusations of gross financial mismanagement. The leader of the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Shalomyah Bowers, is accused in a lawsuit filed this week of stealing more than $10 million from the organization.

In the lawsuit, Bowers is described as a “rogue administrator” who drained millions in contributions from the organization, using it as a “personal piggybank.”

This is how Marxists roll. Your money is THEIR money, peasants.

Been On The Radar

Black Lives Matter Grassroots accuses Shalomyah Bowers of “blazing a path of irreparable harm to BLM in less than eighteen months. While BLM leaders and movement workers were on the street risking their lives, Mr. Bowers remained in his cushy offices devising a scheme of fraud and misrepresentation to break the implied-in-fact contract between donors and BLM.”

If you can believe it, Bowers accused his accusers of doing the bidding of The Man: “They would rather take the same steps of our white oppressors and utilize the criminal legal system which is propped up by white supremacy (the same system they say they want to dismantle) to solve movement disputes.”

Bowers was hired in 2020 by BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors to fundraise and dole out grants.

Black Lives Matter? Maybe BLM means Buy Large Mansions instead! Grassroots members of this corrupt organization have now sued the leadership for siphoning off more than $10 million to their personal bank accounts or purchases of real estate. Not shocking at all.

History Of Corruption

Shalomyah Bowers is the latest BLM leader accused of shady financial dealings. In May of 2021, the aforementioned BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors resigned her position as executive director of the Black Lives Matter Foundation after questions began about not only the finances of the organization, but her personal finances.

In 2020, after the death of George Floyd, BLM reportedly raised $90 million in donations. At the end of 2020, they stated that they retained around $60 million.

In April of 2021, the New York Post reported that Cullors had purchased four luxury homes totaling approximately $3.2 million. However, there was no evidence that Cullors used foundation money for those purchases.

The LA Times also reports that BLM purchased a “compound” for $6 million.

In March of this year, a Boston area BLM activist and her husband were indicted on federal fraud charges. Monica Cannon-Grant and her husband Clark were charged in a plan to defraud donors of a non-profit she ran called “Violence in Boston” to the tune of $185,000.

Cannon-Grant, once named “Bostonian of the Year,” was charged in an 18-count federal indictment that included wire fraud charges and making false statements to a mortgage lending business.

The Grants were also accused of using donations to the non-profit for things like shopping sprees, rent, nail salons, and a vacation.

Where is the DOJ on investigating the corruption of Black Lives Matter organization? Oh yes, they are going through Melania Trump underwear. That is more important.

Activism With A Touch Of Marxism

Patrisse Cullors and her BLM co-founders Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi make no bones about the fact that they are Marxists.

In a 2015 interview with SF Weekly, Cullors intimated that Marxism was a goal of BLM, saying, “social movements all over the world have used Marx and Lenin as a foundation to interrupt these systems that are really negatively impacting the majority of people.”

Also in 2015, Garza stated at the “Left Forum,” a gathering of world communists, that it’s “not possible for a world to emerge where black lives matter if it’s under capitalism, and it’s not possible to abolish capitalism without a struggle against national oppression.”

Cullors has affirmed her Marxist admirations numerous times, even putting out a video that stated, “Am I a Marxist? … I do believe in Marxism. It’s a philosophy that I learned really early on in my organizing career … .”

Cullors has also stated, “We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories.”

Black Lives Matter seem to have the part of communism down where the leaders live opulent lifestyles at the expense of those who fund it.

Oh wow it’s so weird this keeps happening. Almost like exempting groups from basic scrutiny and disallowing even modest skepticism might engender corruption?

No, not that can’t be it. This happens because of, uhh, racism.https://t.co/5HZrAOhuBr
