Waukesha Christmas Parade Killer Withdraws Insanity Plea

Darrell Brooks, Jr. the BLM supporting mass murderer who rammed his SUV through the crowd at the Waukesha, WI Christmas Parade last fall has changed his plea in his upcoming trial for a second time.

As we previously reported, in February Brooks plead not guilty.

Witnesses said that as the vehicle barreled through the parade it picked up speed.

** 18 Children were injured and sent to hospitals in the demonic attack.
** 62 individuals were injured in total
** 6 died including a child

8-year-old Jackson Sparks died in the hospital two days after the attack when the BLM driver ran over him and dozens of others at the Christmas parade.

However in June, Brooks changed his plea from not guilty to not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. This past Friday Sept 9, Brooks changed his mind again, and withdrew his insanity plea.

Brooks’s mother told CBS 58 “Darrell has suffered from mental health issues since he was very young…” for which he received counseling and medication but as an adult a “decision was made that he no longer suffered a mental illness.”

The Journal Sentinel reports:

In court Friday, under procedural questioning from Judge Jennifer Dorow, Brooks offered little explanation for that decision.

“I have my own reasons why,” he said, after confirming he had discussed the pros and cons of his decision with his attorneys to again continue on a straight not guilty plea.

In August Judge Dorow ruled against two defense motions to dismiss the case. Jury selection in the case is scheduled for September 19 and the trial is scheduled to begin on October 3.

Brooks is charged with six counts of first-degree intentional homicide and 71 other criminal counts.
